Moving Tallahassee Forward

During his two decades of service to our community, Commissioner Maddox served as City Commissioner, Tallahassee’s first Leadership Mayor and President of the Florida League of Cities. His leadership has guided Tallahassee through Blair Stone Road, Capital Circle, Cascades Park, Gaines Street, the Mayor’s Summit on Race Relations and brought our area’s leading STEM curriculum platform, the Challenger Learning Center/IMAX, to downtown Tallahassee. He continues to lead the effort to bring low-cost air carriers to our airport and to promote fiscal responsibility within the government. Maddox has led Tallahassee to be named an All-America City twice and brought together the City and the Department of Juvenile Justice  to implement a summer program for at-risk youth.

“It would be my honor to continue to serve the city where I grew up, raised our children and run my business. I have been a vocal advocate for the needs of our citizens, protecting their rights while also working to reduce crime and blight in our community. As your City Commissioner, I will continue to work diligently to protect and enhance our quality of life. Today more than ever, we need proactive leadership and fiscal responsibility in our city. It would be my honor to have your support.”
